MARCH 2023 | TEA PARTY RUCK

After falling down the rabbit hole and entering the garden, Alice encounters The Mad Hatter, The Dormouse, and The March Hare. The Mad Hatter explains to Alice that he and the March Hare are always having tea because, when he tried to sing for the Queen of Hearts at a celebration of hers, she sentenced him to death for "murdering the time." He escaped decapitation, but, angry about the Hatter's attempted "murder", Time (referred to as a "Him") halts himself in respect to the Hatter, keeping him and the March Hare stuck at 6:00 forever. The tea party, when Alice arrives, involves switching places at the table periodically, making short, personal remarks, asking unanswerable riddles and reciting nonsensical poetry, all of which eventually drive Alice away. read more

Buy-In:

Ruck to meet up with your crew…aka…The Mad Hatter, The Dormouse, and/or The March Hare…May we suggest a spot to have “tea”?? Mileage can vary depending on your group and it’s ambition. Don’t forget a deck of cards…

The Beatdown:

Deck of Death - Pull a card from your deck and then perform the exercise(s) as outlined below:

Clubs (A-10) = Overhead Claps (4 count)
Hearts (A-10) = Low Slow Squats
Diamonds (A-10) = Sit-ups
Spades (A-10) = Push-ups
Jacks / Queens / Kings = 10 reps of exercises + Run (dealers choice on length)
Jokers = 10 burpees + Run (dealers choice on length)

Exercises can be done with or without ruck…

Cash-out:

Ruck back to your starting point…perhaps after having some “tea” w/friends??

NOTES: Ruck weight can vary. Typically, 20 pounds if you weight under 150; 30 pounds if you are over 150. As always, modify as necessary.
